Honda has introduced the updated version of its smallest offering in the market, the Honda Brio. The car has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 4.69 lacs ex-showroom, Delhi.
The refreshed Brio now gets changes, which are on similar lines to the recently introduced updated Honda Amaze. The hatchback now gets some tweaks on the outside, which distinguish it from the outgoing car.
The new Brio now gets a revised front fascia, with a new bumper, similar to the one in the new Amaze, which now looks a bit bolder in the updated Amaze than the previous version of the car. Apart from this the fog lamp housings now see a distinctive change from the current car. Apart from this, the exterior styling remains more or less the same until the rear of this small hatchback.
On the insides, just on lines of the Amaze, the Honda Brio gets a completely new dashboard which is the sore point of customer dislike in the outgoing version of the car. The new dashboard as seen in the updated Amaze, now feels quite contemporary and would bring an air of freshness inside the cabin of the small hatchback.
The car now also features a climate control system, which would be making its entry into the Brio for the very first time since it was introduced. Honda will try and up the sales of the car by bringing in these few changes and refreshing the car a little bit. It also gets a black color theme for the interiors in selected variants.
The Honda Brio couldn’t succeed much in the Indian market, majorly because of its quirky rear looks. The car however, does boast to be one of the most spacious ones in its segment, but still could not garner the kind of volumes as expected from it. The updated version might just improve the story by a margin.
