Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), today announced that it will be launching its Premium Pick-up Range in early January 2016. Christened Imperio, this new Pick-up is conceptualized and developed in house at the Mahindra Research Valley at Chennai. The Imperio will be manufactured at Mahindra’s manufacturing facility at Chakan Plant
The Imperio will battle it out in the small CV space, where Mahindra holds 53% market share (YTD November 2015) in LCV segment (with less than 3.5 ton load). This pick-up is designed to cater to the needs of small and medium businesses (SMEs). As for the appearance, the grille is refreshingly different from whatever we’re used to seeing on Mahindra vehicles lately.
