Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has recently revealed its upcoming commuter motorcycle, Bajaj V, for the Indian market. According to the sources, the company has started bookings of the new Bajaj V at an amount of Rs 5,000 to Rs. 10,000. The upcoming motorcycle is priced at Rs. 62,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The deliveries will commence in the month of March 2016.
The Indian manufacturer has said that the Bajaj V bike is an important product for them, which is made from the INS Vikrant’s metal. The company has managed to acquire 3 tones of metal from INS Vikrant’s scrap. In the company’s product portfolio, the Bajaj V will be making its way between the Discover 150 and the Pulsar 150.
The Bajaj V is powered by a 149.5cc, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which churns out 12PS of maximum power and 13Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated with a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension system consists of 33 dia fork at front and hydraulic type gas filled shock absorber at rear. Disc brakes will do the duty at front, while drum brakes are employed at rear. Moreover, it sports the INS Vikrant emblem on fuel tank. The motorcycle comes fitted with 5-spoke alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, etc.
