Triumph showcased its all-new Bonneville series bike T120 at the 2016 Auto Expo. Now, the company has launched the bike at a price of Rs 8.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bookings of the motorcycle have also started across all the Triumph dealerships in India.
The T120 is inspired from the legendary 59 Bonneville. It comes powered by a 1200cc, liquid-cooled, 8 valve, SOHC, 270 degree crank angle parallel twin engine which churns out 80PS of power and 105Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension system of the motorcycle comes with Kayaba 41mm cartridge forks with 120mm travel at front and Kayaba twin shocks with adjustable preload with 120mm travel at rear. Disc brakes do the duty at both the ends. It employs twin 310mm discs with Nissin 2-piston floating callipers at the front, while the rear end has a single 255mm disc with Nissin 2-piston floating callipers. It also comes equipped with ABS. The kerb weight of the bike is 224kg, and it has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres.
The motorcycle measures 2170mm in length, 785mm in width and 1125mm height, while its wheelbase stands at 1445mm. Features such as Ride-by-Wire, slip-assist clutch, traction control, centre stand, immobiliser, rider modes (road or rain), LED rear light, DRL headlight, heated grips and USB charging socket come as standard.
The Triumph T120 is available in four paint schemes- Cranberry Red-Aluminium Silver with hand painted coach lines, Jet Black-Pure White with hand painted coach lines, Jet Black, and Cinder Red.
