Datsun India today launched limited variants of the GO and GO+. These vehicles, named as ‘Style’ editions, will come with some additional exterior as well as interior design changes.
The exterior will have the option of a New Blue colour that will be offered along with the existing white and ruby shades. Making the ‘Style’ editions distinctive from their standard siblings are the addition of body graphics, roof rails, rear spoiler and a limited edition logo. The changes to the interior are restrained with a dual-tone black and beige theme dominating the cabin. The centre console does a good job of adding a sporty appeal with its piano black finish and silver accents.
Features that are standard include electric power steering, front power windows, USB charger, central locking, aux-in and follow-me-home headlamps.
Both these models are based on the ‘T’ trim and are powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine belting out 68bhp and 104Nm of peak torque. The power is routed to the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.
The ‘Style’ editions are limited-period offerings and will be seen in dealerships only from August to October 2016. They are priced at a premium with the GO and GO+ costing Rs 4.06 lakh and Rs 4.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
Commenting on the launch Arun Malhotra, MD, Nissan India said, “The ‘Style’ editions add more choices for customers and complement Datsun GO and GO+’s attractive design, making these cars even more appealing to the youthful risers of India.”
